Jam Rock with Squeeze brings 400+ out to SOB's!

With a little help from Richie Spice, the first official Jam Rock with Squeeze brought a crowd of over 400 to SOB's this Monday. The party started early as the crowd began piling in as soon as the doors opened, and by 8 the place was packed.
As always, the New Kingston Band blessed the crowd with an amazing performance, but this time they did something special for the ladies. They took turns singing some sexy R&B songs to their lady fans that had them all screaming and left some blushing.

Then Noble Society brought the crowd back by delivering a melodious performance to their fans.
Once Richie Spice came out the crowd was more than ready, and they let him know. As he performed his hits like "Youths dem Cold" and "Brown Skin," the energy went through the roof!

With so much excitement, energy, and emotion in the air, who would know it was a Monday night? Then once 12 hit, it was really time to party. Kevin Crown kept the crowd hype mixing the best hip hop, R&B, reggae, dancehall, and everything hot!

But of course we're not done! This week we will have beautiful songstress Alaine and friends gracing our stage to perform her hits including the smash "Make me Weak." Make sure you rsvp to rsvp@jamrockmagazine.com and get there before 7:30 to get in for free!

Rock with Squeeze is officially back rockin, plus a BIG announcement!

A change in venue led to a short break, but after a two-week hiatus Rock with Squeeze is finally back! The people were obviously ready for it because the crowd was back and ready to party. Black, white, young, old, and everything in between were all represented as people that came from all over filled SOB's for the big night. The crowd warmed up with an eclectic blend of smooth and up-tempo jams played by the New Kingston Band. The house band has already become a favorite of the crowd regulars that know them from the many JAMROCK events they have performed at in the past, but even the newcomers were impressed by the immensely talented young men.
Next a surprise performer came out and wowed the crowd with some beautiful music of his own. The Haitian phenom, and close friend to superstar Wyclef Jean, Belo, made a trip to deliver a little creole crooning to the audience. The language difference didn't seem to be any barrier because the audience enjoyed his set and even sang along.

Then it was time for Frankie Paul, or the "Jamaican Stevie Wonder" as some would say. Much doesn't need to be said of this phenomenal performer, who kept the crowd singing along as he went through a catalog of his songs.

The night culminated with the second headliner, I-Wayne. He kept everyone's attention through his whole set but he definitely brought the energy through the roof when he performed his hit "Can't Satisfy Her."
Then came the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!
Due to the popularity of both the Monday night Rock with Squeeze event and the Thursday night Jam with Squeeze party, we've merged them into one all night party! Beginning next Monday and each and every Monday thereafter, we will be hosting Jam Rock with Squeeze, the ultimate in live music, fashion, food, and fun. Each week beginning at 6, you can join us after work for some drinks and entertaiment from our special guests, which in the past have included Cecile, Shaggy, Wyclef Jean, and more! Then at 12 the party begins with the biggest DJ's bringing the best in Reggae, Soca, Dancehall, Hip Hop, and R&B. And of course when you're at a JAMROCK Magazine party you never know what surprise guests and performers might show up. If last night was any measure of the success of future Jam Rock with Squeeze events then there is a lot to look forward to in the weeks to come.

Next Monday come Jam Rock with Squeeze and special guest Richie Spice! The much requested guest will finally be making his Jam Rock with Squeeze debut on Monday, January 26th. Stay tuned for more details and announcements on other surprises later in the week. Just remember, the only place to be on a Monday night is Jam Rockin' with Squeeze at SOB's!

Weather can't stop the Jammin'!

Barbee, the newest diva on the dancehall scene, was the special invited guest of the evening. The tall and shapely beauty commanded everyone's attention when she walked into the room, taking most of the men's eyes wherever she went.
She poses here with the none other than DJ Gravy, who also debuted Barbee's newest single Missing You, which received a positive response from the crowd.

The weather in NY last night was frigid to say the least, but even the freezing temperatures didn't stop partygoers from coming out.

JAMROCK Magazine photographer Win Art also took pictures of a select few to be featured in an upcoming issue of the magazine.

And as always, there was a mix of sexy singles and cute couples mingling on the floor.

But we're not done! This week Jam with Squeeze returns at its bigger and better location- SOB's ( located at 204 Varick Street @ West Houston). First Jam with Squeeze a success!

No surprise here, any event with the JAMROCK Magazine name is a smash and this one proved to be no different. Hundreds of people packed into BLVD last Thursday for the first Jam with Squeeze party. The freezing weather didn't keep the people out and there were plenty of sexy ladies (and men) to keep the drinks flowing and the party going all night long.

And OF COURSE, you never know who will show up at a Jamrock party! Shaggy came straight off his flight to the club. Here he is with the lovely Miss Jeanille (MTV Tempo), who definitley lit up the room with her gorgeous smile.
Surprise guest Mr. Easy stopped through to perform a few of his hits.

DJ Gravy warmed up the crowd but when Steelie Bashment brought out the Active Dancers straight outta Jamaica, the crowd went crazy!

Then the main event arrived. Mr. Chuck Fenda blew up the place and kept the party live til' four.

Much respect goes out to Foxy Brown for stopping through to grace us with her lovely presence.
She may have started out a little shy but once she got warmed up she was taking pictures and dancing with the crowd.

But we're not done! The party continues each and every Thursday at BLVD- 199 Bowery @ Spring Street. Next week...Soca vs. Dancehall with special guest Barbee! Don't forget to RSVP at rsvp@jamrockmagazine.com so you are in there.
