First and foremost, thanks to all of you that continue to support ROCK with Squeeze and all of the JAMROCK sponsored events each and every week. Thanks to you, ROCK with Squeeze has become the biggest and best Monday night party in NYC!

This past week was no different, as Rock with Squeeze hosted another full night of great music and live performances. This week, Freddie Ricks returned for the special comedy spotlight at ROCK with Squeeze, and he brought two of his best comedians out with him to share some laughs with the crowd.

While comedian Erik Rivera may have been the only Latino in the room, everyone still found his humor en espanol funny. His high energy and punchlines kept us all entertained.

Haitian comedian Wil Sylvince's set was at times raunchy and X-rated, but judging by the sound of the laughter and applause he received, the crowd not only thought he was funny, they could relate! He left everyone holding their stomachs and wiping away tears from laughing so hard.

Una Morgan, of Morgan Heritage, came to premiere her first solo single "Fight" with the ROCK with Squeeze audience. If it's hot, you know you'll hear it at ROCK with Squeeze, and that's one more reason to make sure you don't miss a day.

There aren't too many Haitian reggae artists on the scene, but one who has already made a name for himself in a genre where he's outnumbered, is Bigga Haitian. He performed "Sak Pase" and "Gimme de Weed" having the crowd rocking with him throughout his performance.

When another special guest Ne Ne Ali showed up, many were confused about how she got in. At only 11, Ne Ne is the youngest ROCK with Squeeze performer to hit the stage, but the minute she began to recite her spoken word, the crowd understood why. This amazing young girl has an incredible talent, and everything from her delivery to her word choice, show that she is mature beyond her years.

The first time Frankie Paul hit the ROCK with Squeeze stage was only a few months back, but the fans didn't get enough of him. When he was added announced as a special guest performer, many fans flocked back to see an encore of the amazing show he had the first time; and that's exactly what they got. He sang crowd pleasers like "Sara" "Cassanova" and "Ku-Sheng-Peng" with the Inner Roots Band.

JAMPicks: Hair Care Products Review

By Khandyce Menard

Fabulous hair is the key to polishing off a great look. Maintenance can be expensive, but finding the right products at a reasonable price can prove to be a worthy hair care investment. Check out a few JAMPicks for taming those unruly hairs!

Rose H20 Conditioning Hairdress

This daily moisturizing cream is perfect for dry and coarse hair. A little goes a long way, and just a touch of the thick cream coats your hair with a protective layer that adds shine, manageability, and an amazing rose fragrance! While a little pricey at around $16.00 per 8 oz, it will last quite some time and is worth every penny.
The cream is a little too heavy to use on a daily basis, it will begin to weigh the hair down.

Hask Placenta Henna ‘n’ Placenta Deep Treatment

This pre-measured deep conditioning treatment helps to repair color-treated, relaxed, and damaged hair. After twenty minutes under a dryer, you will emerge with shiny, soft, and stronger hair. Henna ‘n’ Placenta is available at many beauty supply stores, and at a cost of only around $2 per treatment, this miracle is easily accessible and affordable. This also works wonders for detangling and taming natural or unruly hair!

Nexxus Therappe Shampoo

This shampoo is the perfect moisturizing shampoo for any hair type. Unlike some other shampoos, it is gentle enough that you can use it daily without worry about it stripping your hair or leaving it dry. It’s great for smoothing flyaway hair and waves as well. A huge 33 oz bottle is only around $18, and will last for MANY washes.

Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Conditioner

Organic Root Stimulator makes a variety of affordable hair products that are suited to your type of hair. The Olive Oil line is made for dry hair, and in just a few minutes provides a light and natural sheen to your hair. For more damaged hair you can leave it in for up to twenty minutes with a shower cap on to allow for a deeper conditioning. At less than $5 for a container, this conditioner is a steal!

Motions Light Hold Working Spritz

This spray is great for everyday styling because it’s alcohol free, flake free, and not sticky. Unlike a hairspray that will freeze your hair in place for a “hard look,” Motions keeps hair in place by providing a light and natural hold that will allow you to shape and mold it, keep the style in place, while still allowing it to move naturally. At $4 who can argue with that!

Talented line-up of performers and a special surprise guest make ROCK with Squeeze a night to remember!

Once again, ROCK with Squeeze has proved to be the one and only place to be on a Monday night. Where else can you unwind after work as you enjoy the best in live performances from the best rising and current stars...and rub shoulders with Beenie Man? Only at ROCK with Squeeze!

SOB's was packed with a grown and sexy crowd that was ready to have a good time.

Two rising artists, Dona V and Skye, were given the opportunity to make their ROCK with Squeeze debuts, and warm the crowd up. Dona V serenaded the crowd with his soft melodies, while Skye brought a little more of a rugged sound with her rapping.

The fellas had Anthony Malvo to thank for keeping the ladies happy with his sweet vocal performance.

By the time Voicemail came out, the crowd was done with the mellow and "Ready to Party," and the high-energy group provided the tunes so the crowd could "Wacky Dip" and "Sweep" with them.

All the while surprise guest Beenie Man watched stage-side, but like a true performer,
he could not stand by idly. He jumped on stage and delivered a show-stopping show that brought the energy through the roof. Good thing he closed out the show because there was no topping his performance.

Tessanne Chin Brings the Heat into SOB's

ROCK with Squeeze fans didn't let the frigid temperature outside stop them from coming out to have a good time last Monday night.

Comedian Freddie Ricks jumped off the special comedy portion of the night by having a little fun with the audience.

Next he introduced a friend and fellow comedian AG White. He caught the audience off guard for a minute since they didn't expect him, but it only took a few minutes for the crowd to realize that the "old white man had jokes," as he would say.

Brooklyn's own, comedian Caliese, closed out the comedy portion of the show with a few of his own Caribbean jokes, and had the crowd rolling with his special patois imitations.

French singer Ilhane returened to the ROCK with Squeeze stage to sing for us again. Don't let her tiny body fool you, this girl has a voice!

Finally, Tessanne Chin came out to a roar of applause as the crowd showed their appreciation for her showing up. Not only was she here on a freezing New York night, she also had lost her grandfather earlier in the day, yet still had the courage to brave a crowd.

But oh were we glad she did! Tessanne's souful voice was powerful and on point, and the crowd loved singing along as she belted out "Messenger" and "Hideaway," just to name a few.

As always, Monday nights are always better when you ROCK with Squeeze at SOB's. Don't miss next week when we have special guests Voicemail and Anthony Malvo!

Mar. 3rd, 2009 New York, NY — Rock With Squeeze fans received a royal treat, braving the bitter cold to witness Tessanne Chin's first ever performance in New York City! Receiving rave reviews from dedicated fans and media, Tessanne commanded the audience with her power house vocals on "Broken Melodies" and "Messenger". Dedicating her hit song "Hideaway" to fans and her grandfather, whom recently passed, she sent chills through the room singing acapella in her encore performance.

No stranger to Rock with Squeeze, Freddie Ricks had everyone laughing out of their seats and brought a few friends along with him.
